How you
choose an art piece will greatly depend on your reasons for wanting
to buy art. If
you are simply looking for a gift or a one off purchase any piece that
you like on our site is appropriate. If you are looking for something
more specific there are a number of functions on our site to help you
make your choice. If you
are interested in a particular medium the top scroll bar separates
work into the conventionally acknowledged mediums of Watercolour,
Oils & Acrylics, Pencil and Charcoal, Chalk and Pastel, Pen and Ink,
Etchings and Prints, photographs and Mixed Media. You can
also use our ‘Art Search’ function,
where in addition to the medium you can search by the following categories;
Through
one or a combination of a number of the above categories you should
be able to find a piece of artwork that satisfies your needs. Where artwork
has been produced as a ‘series’ intended to be kept as a group or pair
we sell the group or pair as one item. This is particularly true of
more economically priced artwork. For more expensive pieces we let you
decide whether you buy one piece or the collection, however where possible
we do advise that matching pieces look better kept that way! If you
would like a detailed explanation of the jargon and terminology related
to the art profession our glossary
section is being continuously expanded as a reference function to
help you better understand the contents of our site.
